ABOUT THE SALES CONCEPT

Are you looking to grow your wholesale fashion business?

Starting a business is hard. Especially a fashion business.

Most independent designers understand the basics of getting a product designed and produced but struggle when it comes to understanding the numbers and actually selling their collection.

That's where we come in.

the sales concept about us

The Sales Concept started as a way to provide small brands and independent designers the steps, tools, advice, and strategies necessary for growing your business and taking your sales and merchandising expertise to the next level.

  • We believe that anyone has the ability to successfully double or even triple their sales by using our tried and true strategies we've implemented in our years of working in the fashion industry.
  • We believe it doesn't have to be confusing or frustrating to understand what it takes to grow your sales.
  • We believe that small brands and indie designers deserve as much success as big brands and companies.

After working in the fashion industry for a collective 25 years, our goal is to share what we've learned along our journey to help you grow your sales and maximize profits.

WHO ARE WE?

MEET TRACEENA

Traceena Peterson is a sales maven with an impressive background working with influential lifestyle boutiques and notable big box retailers. Among these brands are Kangol and Bailey of Hollywood where, she utilized her game-changing selling skills to increase, develop and create profitable strategies to take her accounts to the next level.

The third person aside, I helped create The Sales Concept to give designers the tools, tips, and the formula to sell more and get into the best stores. After months of struggling in Sales - in particular not knowing what to say to buyers and how to properly close, I finally figured out an evergreen formula that I now use over and over to boost my sales each season.

I believe that sales are crucial to your business — but it shouldn't be stressful or take up hours of your time.

I hope The Sales Concept can help transform your business and create new possibilities.

MEET LAUREN

With over twelve years merchandising experience, I've managed brands ranging from $500k to $50m. Throughout my career, I've been able to create profitable assortments and merchandising strategies to lower costs, plan for profitability and increase bottom line growth.

I now help fashion entrepreneurs grow their business by helping them understand that merchandising can often times be the hidden X-factor in generating huge profit.

The truth of the matter is, I didn't even understand exactly what merchandising was when I first got into the business. If you would have asked me twelve years ago to describe what exactly a merchandiser's job was, I would have said it had something to do with the way merchandise was displayed in a store. (aka Visual Merchandising)

While  that is partially true, I didn't realize there was a whole other world involving merchandising that many do not understand when it comes to running a successful fashion business or any product based company for that matter.

I now teach others the things that I wish I had learned when I was first starting out.
Many are true make it or break it factors when growing your business.

We hope to inspire, teach, and help push you to accomplish what you are capable of!
Cheers to growing your sales and achieving succesS.
